LEARN MORE ABOUT
OUR PROCESS

  • What kind of mill do you use?
Our mill was built based on Matt Cremona's basic design but scaled down to support our needs. Currently, we can mill lumber up to 40" in diameter and up to 16' in length. A 16' extension will be added this winter to accommodate up to 32' cuts.
  • How do you source your lumber?
We partner with several local arborists to acquire trees being taken down in the greater metro Atlanta area. Keeping beautiful, locally grown trees out of the landfill is one of our core missions.
  • What do you produce?
We produce a variety of wood products; raw slabs, rough dimensional lumber, flattened slabs, and S2S dimensional lumber.
  • How do you dry your milled products?
We use a solar assisted kiln with dehumidification. The solar provides a majority of the heat necessary to dry the lumber and kill off any lingering insects. Dehumidification helps speed the process along while providing a stable humidity level to reduce cracking, checking and splitting.
